The 52Pi Mini NAS Tower Kit w/ ICE Tower Cooling & OLED Display for Pi 4B (Black) is designed to enhance the mass storage capabilities of a Raspberry Pi by incorporating an M.2 SATA SSD expansion board. The kit is housed in a robust case crafted from ABS material, effectively transforming the Raspberry Pi into a compact mini-host. The expansion board is compatible with M.2 SATA SSD B-Key 2280 mass storage devices and can support solid-state drives up to 2TB. It features an array of ASMedia Technology SATA bridges for seamless integration and includes a Mass Storage Driver: UAS for efficient operation.

The kit is equipped with a USB3.0 connector for rapid data transfer, boasting speeds of up to 272MB/s. It also includes an Ice Tower cooling system to ensure optimal performance by dissipating heat effectively. For visual feedback, there is an LED indicator that displays disk activity status. Additionally, the kit supports booting directly from the SSD.

Aesthetically, the kit features RGB programmable fan light and mood light (WS281X) alongside an acrylic transparent side panel, which adds to its modern appearance. The kit also includes a 0.96 inch OLED display with a resolution of 128x64 pixels. For power, the kit can draw from the GPIO pin of the Raspberry Pi through the Pogopin, providing a stable 5V@3A supply to the disk adapter board.

Please note that the RGB light in the fan and mood light will not illuminate without the installation of the appropriate driver. Similarly, the OLED display will not show any information unless it is enabled. It is crucial to read the manual thoroughly and follow the instructions to activate these features. Additionally, the kit does not support NVME SSDs and only works with M.2 SATA SSD 2280 mass storage devices.
